Biography
Abi Conway (born 1996, Osijek, Croatia) is an aspiring documentary and editorial photographer currently based in Chicago. Though originally from Croatia, she spent much of her youth living and moving throughout Eastern Europe.
Abi graduated with a degree in International Relations and Photography from Wheaton College in 2019. She spent much of 2018 documenting the Rohingya and Karen refugee crisis, reporting inside refugee camps in Myanmar, Thailand and Bangladesh. Her focus is on migration, women’s rights and anti-human trafficking amongst vulnerable communities.
Work
Abi is passionate about combining her love for creativity, ethical story-telling and international development to create platforms where individuals are empowered and represented.
Her work has been featured by organizations such as CRU, Genesis - NSC, Operation Smile, Partner's Relief and Development, Photographers Without Borders, Three Roots International, International Justice Mission and others.
